Why Somatics?
My somatic practice is designed to support deep nervous system regulation, stress release, and body-based healing. I work primarily with TRE® (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises), complemented by energy-based techniques similar to Reiki and gentle movement to help the body feel safe, supported, and ready to relax.
Sessions are offered one-on-one at my home in Palm Springs, in a private, calm, and grounded setting.
What Is TRE®?
TRE® stands for Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises, and was developed by Dr. David Berceli. It is a body-based practice that uses a sequence of gentle movements to safely activate the body’s natural reflex to tremor or shake.
These tremors are subtle, organic movements initiated by the nervous system. The tremoring itself – not the exercises – is what supports release. Through this process, the body can let go of deep-held muscular tension, stress patterns, and restrictions stored in the fascial system.
Fascia is a connective tissue that weaves throughout the entire body, surrounding muscles, bones, organs, and nerves. It plays a key role in posture, movement, and sensation, and responds directly to stress, injury, and prolonged patterns of holding. Over time, fascia can become tight, dense, or restricted, contributing to discomfort, reduced mobility, and a sense of being “stuck” in the body.
TRE® supports gentle, involuntary movement that helps the fascia soften and reorganize. As the fascial system releases, the nervous system often follows, allowing the body to move out of chronic tension or fight-or-flight and return toward balance, regulation, and ease.
TRE® does not require talking about past experiences or reliving trauma. Instead, it works from the bottom up – through the body – supporting tension release and integration in a way that is gradual, respectful, and self-directed.
Common Benefits of a TRE® Practice
While every experience is unique, many people report benefits such as:
Reduced stress and anxiety.
Improved sleep quality.
Less chronic muscular tension or pain.
Increased mobility and ease of movement.
Greater emotional regulation and resilience.
A deeper sense of grounding and body awareness.
As tension releases from both the nervous system and fascial layers, the body often feels more fluid, responsive, and at home in itself.
My Approach
TRE® with Energy & Body-Based Support
What makes my work unique is the way I integrate energy-based techniques similar to Reiki alongside TRE®. These subtle, hands-on or hands-near practices can support deeper release, increased safety, and a greater sense of integration during and after tremoring.
I also draw on my background in Pilates and somatics movement to gently warm and prepare the body before beginning TRE®. This preparation helps hydrate the tissues, invite awareness into the fascial system, and support a smoother, more comfortable tremoring experience, especially for first-time clients.
The energy-based techniques I integrate can further support softening, integration, and nervous system safety as layers of tension release.
My role is not to “do” anything to you, but to hold a safe, attuned space where your body can lead the process. You remain in control at all times, and we move at a pace that feels appropriate for you.
What You Can Expect
Initial Session (90–120 minutes)
Your first session includes time to:
- Discuss your needs, intentions, and any questions you have.
- Learn what TRE® is and how the process works.
- Gently prepare the body with movement and awareness.
- Experience guided tremoring in a safe, supported way.
- Integrate and reflect afterward.
This session is intentionally spacious, allowing your body and nervous system time to orient and respond.
Follow-Up Sessions (60–90 minutes)
Follow-up sessions typically involve:
- A brief check-in.
- Light movement or preparation as needed.
- TRE® practice with optional energy-based support.
- Time to integrate and close.
No two sessions are the same. As the body releases layers of tension over time, new patterns – and new levels of ease – can emerge.
Who Somatics Is For
My somatic practice may be a good fit if you:
Are curious about trauma-informed, body-based healing.
Want a gentle, non-verbal approach to release and regulation.
Are already doing personal growth work and want deeper integration.
Carry chronic stress, tension, or fatigue.
Experience anxiety or nervous system overwhelm.
Feel disconnected from your body.
You do not need prior experience with TRE®, somatics work, or energy practices.
How to Get Started
If you’d like to book an initial session, feel free to reach out.
If you’re curious but unsure, I’m also happy to meet for a casual coffee conversation to answer questions and share more about the work. No commitment required.
Somatics healing unfolds over time. The more you practice, the more your body learns how to release, gently, intelligently, and at its own pace.

A Note on Integration
For some people, TRE® is a standalone practice. For others, it becomes a powerful complement to coaching or Pilates. While these offerings are distinct, they share a common foundation: supporting the whole person through awareness, regulation, and embodied presence.
Wherever you are in your journey, you’re welcome here.
